Licensing

• Client usage is unlimited and free, the TreeGrid is licensed just for server.
• With the TreeGrid you will get documentation of use the component on web page, programmer's reference, detailed description of data formats, formulas, events and simple API in English language.
• If you purchase the Extended API version, you will get detailed description of all TreeGrid functions and properties.
• We can integrate TreeGrid into your application or we can write whole application with the TreeGrid for you by your specifications. We charge 55 USD per hour work. In case of whole commission we can negotiate the price.
• If you need any other universal function or technique to extend the TreeGrid component, we can write it (almost) immediately and for free.

• "BASIC" Server license for 10 web pages
  • The code of TreeGrid can be used at one server (domain) and can be displayed on up to 10 web pages on this server.
    If you develop your web application just for single usage (at your own server or at server of one your customer).

• "PERSONAL" Developer license for single developer
  • The code of TreeGrid can be used as part of any application created and marketed by single developer. The license is registered to developer's name and cannot be moved to another developer.

• "STANDARD" Developer license for unlimited copies in one web application
  • The code of TreeGrid can be used as part of one application created by one company. Up to four developers from this company can work with the TreeGrid. No restrictions in distribution of this application.

• Extended API. Just together with some license. You will get TreeGrid version with all functions visible and documentation for them.
  • By Extended JavaScript API you can control near all functions of the TreeGrid from JavaScript code.
  • You can find out, what user is doing, what selects, where is the focus, what was moved, added, deleted, changed, ....
  • You can also read and change all the grid/column/row properties adjusted by data.
  • You can add, delete, move and select rows and cells according to events fired elsewhere on the page.
  • You can also override almost all default behavior of the TreeGrid.

Price list

All prices are in USD

• PureGrid is TreeGrid without these functions: tree functionality, calculations (cell formulas), rows dragging, searching, grouping, rows filtering, paging.
  
  
• PureTree is TreeGrid with all functions, but limited to have maximally three columns (exclude left row panel).
  
  
• TreeGrid is main component without any restrictions in functionality.
  
  
• PureGrid, PureTree, TreeGrid + Extended API contains many additional events, functions and properties to control the component from JavaScript on client side.
  
  
• TreeGrid source code can be used for learning purposes or own changes in functionality. This source or even any its part must not be distributed outside the company in plain state. To use and distribute the modified source, it must be obfuscated and compressed by enclosed routine delivered with source.
  
  
• Standard support is included in all licenses. It includes email support and free bug fixes for purchased major version for at least six month after new major version is released. Upgrade to new major version is for 40% of original price. Requested new functions can be done for free, but only for the last major release, not in the six month period mentioned above.
  
  
• Extended support includes email support and free bug fixes for whole lifetime of the TreeGrid product and free upgrades. If TreeGrid project will be canceled or COQsoft will be bankrupt, the customer will get the source code of the last release and rights to distribute it. Also requested new functions will be done prior to requests from standard support.
  
  
• Source code escrow. TreeGrid source code can be escrowed by external company ("escrow agent") for the case of COQsoft's bankruptcy. Escrow agent is US company Licoln Parry SoftEscrow (www.softescrow.com). The source code is deposited by escrow agent and is delivered to customer if COQsoft will stop supporting the TreeGrid. The customer gets also rights to use and distribute the sources.

Technical support

There are two versions of technical support Standard support and Extended support.

The support for the TreeGrid is by email and is for all licenses the same. We usually answer till twelve hours on work day and one day on weekend, depends on time shift. Our time zone is +1 GMT (central European). Support email is support@coqsoft.com

Bug fixes builds are marked with the third number in [1.2.3]. This number is not part of visible version number. Updates, changes and new functions are marked with the second number as minor version.. All these versions are available for free for both support variants. If you want, we can inform you about any new version by email.

Major changes are marked with the first number. We estimate it to one new version per year. These versions are available for customers with standard support for 40% of original price. For customers with extended support are also for free.

We support all versions we have released, but we suggest you to update to the newest minor version, because we guarantee support for the newest minor version only. We guarantee support for a major version for six months after a new major version was released. After that time, you need to upgrade to the new major version, if you need guaranteed support.
